Cuisinart MultiClad Pro 16" Roasting Pan with Rack

While cool-weather holidays and roasting season are here, a great roasting pan is invaluable all year round. If you’re preparing to host a crowd or are simply looking to beef up your cookware arsenal, a serious, well-made roasting pan will help you turn out crispy-skinned turkeys, as well as perfectly cooked chicken, beef, pork, duck, game birds, and even vegetables. Wondering if this is the year to upgrade your roasting game and whether this beauty is worth the investment? Imagine all the glorious food you’ll cook and then factor in that right now it is 29% off while supplies last. Yes, it makes sense (with LOTS of cents saved!).

Cuisinart MultiClad Pro 16" Roasting Pan with Rack

This pan-seared pork loin nicely without buckling or burning and put an even, golden-brown crust on potatoes. It held a 19-pound turkey easily and its flat bottom aided deglazing. The rack fit snugly, but its handles line up with the pan’s, making it tricky for unloading—our sole quibble.

How We Tested Roasting Pans

Cookware companies are constantly coming out with new roasting pans. Our search turned up six other contenders, costing $18 and up, including a $200 model that we tested to see if spending more meant better performance. Materials ranged from all aluminum to enamel-coated steel, plain stainless steel, a tri-ply construction of stainless steel sandwiching a core of aluminum. All models were at least 12 inches wide and 16 inches long and came with racks. Whether roasting a turkey, browning potatoes, or searing a pork loin, our winner gave us great results.

Winning Traits

  • Great results, whether roasting a turkey, browning potatoes, or searing a pork loin
  • Favored construction: tri-ply pan with stainless steel surrounding aluminum core
  • Distributes heat evenly for uniform cooking and browning
  • No-warp design withstands high heat and stovetop flames without buckling
  • Rack fits snuggly in pan
  • Easy to maneuver and sturdy enough to hoist a turkey but easy to carry from counter to table
  • Deglazes easily, enabling removal of the drippings and bits of fond\
  • Dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup
